- Not all steel targets are created equal — and Alco Target's are in a class of their own. Our steel shooting targets are made exclusively from Creusabro 8000, a high-performance, oil quenched wear and impact resistant steel that delivers up to 50% higher wear resistance than conventional AR500 or similar plate. That means our targets last longer, take more rounds, and hold up under conditions that would crack or deform lesser steel. You won't find Creusabro 8000 steel targets from anyone else — this is an Alco Target exclusive.
- Creusabro 8000 is an oil-quenched steel engineered for extreme impact resistance. Unlike water-quenched AR500, Creusabro undergoes surface hardening through a process called Transformation Induced by Plasticit — the TRIP Effect — which means the steel actually gets harder under repeated impact. In plain terms: the more you shoot it, the tougher it gets. Our 3/8" plates handle nearly all pistol rounds and most short-action rifle rounds including .223, .556, .308, and 7.62. High visibility white finish makes hits easy to see from the firing line.
